Members of Reuben's family were at Assembly on Friday to see him receive his Pou Maori award from Mrs Sanders.

Reuben is wearing his new Pounamu and holding his family's Taiaha. Reuben's whakatauki to the school was: 

"Ko nga pae tata whakamaua Kia Tina - the potential for tomorrow depends on what we do today"
