This week our school was lucky to be visited by James Scott.
James is an Associate Professor in the Geology Department of the University of Otago. He has installed a meteor camera here at school which will be used to track meteor activity in the night sky. We have received the first picture this week which shows a busy night of activity in our skies.
This camera is part of the Fireballs Aotearoa Project. The project is sponsored by a MBIE Curious Minds Participatory Science Platform Grant to the Department of Geology at the University of Otago, administered by the Otago Museum.
