We are delighted to celebrate the success of our students in the recent Checketts McKay Creative Writing Competition.

The competition was open to Year 9 - 13 students from across the district, with entries exploring a connection to Central Otago/Queenstown Lakes. 

Congratulations to the following students, who were recognised by the judges:

1st: Jack Letts for his creative writing piece titled After the Thaw and winning a $300 voucher

2nd: Oiva Kiuru earning a $200 voucher

3rd: Archie McNeish earning a $100 voucher

Highlight commended: Arlee Sutherland and Eli Moir each awarded a $30 voucher

Commended: Angus Keene, Cohen Brown and Charlie Diver
