Jay-Jay Diederiks has been on Work Placement this year at Otago Farm Machinery who are the local John Deere dealer.

 Jay-Jay has thoroughly enjoyed his work placement and encourages others who are thinking about doing a work placement to give it a go. 

Jay-Jay writes: “Working at Otago Farm Machinery has been fun and engaging.

From working on small mowers to big tractors, doing small jobs and big jobs alike, it's shown and taught me about being a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. It has also taught me how to work in a demanding environment where things can change quickly. It has been a fun overall experience working with the other staff and learning about what the whole job is about.

I would totally recommend studying the subject Vocational Pathway Programme if you are wanting to see if the career that you are thinking about doing after school is really for you.”
