On Friday 31st July a group of Year 11 students headed to the Otago Polytechnic Campus in Cromwell to get a "taste" of the Trades Academy courses that will be offered in 2027.

Students can apply to study through the Otago Secondary Trades College when subject options become available in week 5 of this term. Trades Academy becomes one of their subjects on their timetable for 2027. Students attend Polytechnic one day a week and study options such as Beauty Therapy, Automotive Engineering, Building (Level 2 only), Hospitality (Level 2 only), and Baking and Barista (Level 3 only). 

There is an information evening for parents and students (Year 12/13) to find out more about vocational pathway options and Trades Academy on August 12th at 6.45pm in the Staffroom.
