Come along to connect, share stories, and mark the Māori New Year with an unforgettable evening packed with activities for all ages.

🗓️ EVENT & PICK-UP DATE: Rāpare 2 Hōngongoi 2026 (Thursday 2 July 2026) 5:30 pm

TIME: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

ENTRY: Gold Coin koha at the gates

⭐  NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS ⭐

Wāhi Whakamaharatanga (Remembrance): Honouring the star Pōhutukawa. Take a quiet moment to head to the Performing Arts Tower and add gold or silver stars bearing the names of loved ones to our beautifully curated 'Memorial Trees'.

Hāngī Feast: Nothing brings people together quite like a traditional Hāngī! Packs are strictly limited to 150, so you must pre-purchase yours via the QR code below for collection on the night. Please note: There will be absolutely no sales on the night.

Matariki Village: Explore the School Hall, which will be transformed into a bustling hub featuring unique Matariki-themed stalls, interactive games, and community crafts.

Kaumatua Retreat: A dedicated, quiet, and comfortable space for our elders to relax, catch up, and enjoy a warm cuppa.
