UN Youth Otago Southland is proud to announce our flagship and first event of the year, the Otago Southland Model United Nations (OSMUN) will be taking place as a two day conference on the 21st and 22nd of March in Dunedin!
In this event, participants will step into the shoes of a diplomat to the United Nations General Assembly. You will represent the interests of your country and form alliances in order to pass a resolution along with your fellow delegates.
This year’s theme is UN+CHECKED, we will be focusing on increasing urbanisation, the lack of support for migrant communities and the human right to freedom of movement. Delegates will engage with ideas of globalism in contrast to nationalism, internally displaced peoples and regional migration.
The event will be hosted at the Otago University Business School in Dunedin. The registration fee is $55 per delegate, which includes catering during the event.
Registrations are now open and can be completed at the following link:

Registrations will be closing on the 19th of March.
