Important information regarding student attendance

You may have received notifications from our student management system this year regarding your tauira’s attendance. This is a new system put in place by the Ministry of Education and is automatically generated by KAMAR, which is the system we use here at Dunstan high school. The Government is still working towards increasing attendance across New Zealand and this is part of the ‘Every day matters’ campaign. At Dunstan we agree with this approach and can see where students have a steady and regular attendance they are more likely to have success. If you have any questions regarding your learners' attendance please do not hesitate to contact their kaiārahi or kaitiaki in the first instance. You can also contact Di at reception or Mr Clapham who is the Deputy Principal who oversees pastoral concerns including attendance.
