I’m Noah, a Year 13 student at Dunstan High School, and this year I’ve been doing a work placement with Moore Drainlaying. It’s been a great experience that’s helped me learn what it’s like to have a real job.
Each week, I go out on site and help with things like digging, laying pipes, and using tools. At first, I didn’t know much about drainlaying, but the team has been really helpful and showed me how things work. I’ve learnt a lot by just watching and giving things a go.
This placement has helped me get better at working with others, showing up on time, and trying new things. It’s made me think more seriously about doing a trade after school.
I’m really glad I got to do this work placement. It’s been a good way to learn outside the classroom and get ready for life after school.
