Congratulations to Grace Paterson for gaining 14th in the recent Junior Young Farmer of the Year event held in Winton.

Grace competed in a pair with her friend, Nicola Kinney of Maniototo, completing seven challenges and vying for a top five finish to qualify for the finals. The pair gained a perfect score on the CRV Dairy challenge, and near perfect scores in the Break Fencing and Ospri Pest Challenge therefore achieving an overall score of 265.5 out of 350. This score placed the girls 14th on the day which was not enough to proceed through to finals but was a brilliant effort for the girls first time competing. 

Well done ladies on your awesome efforts, you will do the future of farming proud!
