On the 14th of March Dunstan sent a squad of Athletes to the Otago Secondary Schools Athletic Championships at the Caledonian Ground in Dunedin.
The Squad had been training under the watchful eyes of Alexandra and Otago Athletic Legend Alan 'Bones' Hamilton. With Coach Bones present the squad did not disappoint. The squad which featured students from Years 9 - 12 certainly punched above their weight with a series of placings and personal bests. However, it was the Golden Medal moments that certainly stood out.

Zoe Reinds set a new Otago Secondary School record in the Girls Under 14 High Jump with an effort of 1.65m.
Riley Clapham won the Under 15 Triple Jump, Kiri Morgan won the Girls Under 14 Discus, Annie Love won Senior Girls Triple Jump and Grace Weaver won the Under 16 100 Metres. Alice Bell secured the 'double' by winning both the 400 and 800 Under 15 Girl races. To round off the Day the Under 14 4 x 100m relay team were narrowly beaten by Columba College in the Final and the Senior Girls Relay Squad came 3rd in their Final.

Great effort everybody!
