On 6 March, our Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) students had the incredible opportunity to participate in Spark Tank, an event held in Wānaka where they connected with business leaders from across the region.
Each student company took part in six sessions, each lasting seven minutes, where they pitched their products to different business professionals. These sessions provided valuable insights as students explained their ideas, received expert feedback, and, in some cases, even lined up potential mentorships for the year ahead.

The experience proved invaluable, helping students refine their ideas and identify ways to improve their products before taking on Challenge One of the YES competition. In the coming weeks, students will put their learning into action as they interview the public to validate their business concepts.

We are excited to see how their ideas evolve and look forward to sharing their progress throughout the year!
