Academic Information

Changes to reporting 2025:

There will be several changes in the way that we report to whānau in 2025:

We now have a new Learning Culture Grade which replaces the Fortnightly Report Grade (FNR’s).  This report will be sent out to parents and students as a PDF. This report will also notify you about the attendance statistics for your child, stating percentage attended for the term so far and the percentage of unjustified absences.  As a parent you will receive 3 of these per term.

Academic Progress reports: At the end of each term PDF reports stating the progress that your child has made in each subject will be emailed to caregivers.

Monday March 17: We are inviting all parents/whānau come with their child to meet with their child’s wānanga (home room) teacher throughout the day (A 10 - 15 min slot per child is allocated for this).  This meeting will cover reviewing the goals that your child has made for the semester/year and to discuss important information relevant to the year level that your child is in. The booking sheet for these meetings will be available from Friday March 7.

Year 10 parent information evening:

NCEA has changed.  In order to gain any level of NCEA, your child must gain 5 literacy credits in reading, 5 literacy credits in writing and 10 numeracy credits.

To understand how this system works, a meeting will be held in the staffroom on Wednesday March 12, 6:30pm - 7:15pm.

Reports will be sent during this week to whānau to inform you about your child’s “readiness” to sit one or more of these exams.

NCEA information evening:

If you wish to understand how NCEA works, a meeting will be held in the staffroom on Wednesday March 12, 7:30pm - 8:15pm.
