On Saturday the 8th of March Eli Moir took part in the Miniminer cross country mountain bike race at Coronet Peak.
The event was significantly longer and tougher than the last time he did it and he nearly took a few wrong turns in the race and had a slow leak from an earlier plug in his tyre. After a tough climb from the base building to the top of the mountain riders had to descend to the road crossing, before climbing to the top of the Skippers Road and going down the Zoot track. They then had to climb up the access road a little before dropping into Carry On and taking it to the valley floor. They then rode aloing the new Wharehuanui Trail to the bottom of the Dan O Connell climb back to the road crossing and then back up the seal to the base building.

Eli comfortably won the U16 race and was 2nd overall in the Miniminer.
