During week 6, Term 4, the 2024 Year 9 students came to Dunstan for a "Taster Day".

During this time, some groups visited the Science Department and participated in two activities. Students created rainbow tubes using acids and bases and we discussed pH and some of the acids and bases we may come across in a normal day. The second activity was using microscopes to look at leaf tears. Students were able to see guard cells and stomata (where the carbon dioxide enters the leaf).

 Overall, the students enjoyed their introduction to the Science Laboratories and we look forward to welcoming all of our Year 9's in February 2024.
